Welcome to my portfolio site!  Please feel free to browse the site to find out more about my career, plus a bit about the fun things in my life!

My career journey has involved different major trips all centered on higher education.

For the 2008 - 2009 academic year, I am serving as the STEM Project Specialist for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.  STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  I will be supporting a variety of STEM initiatives across the system.  For more, visit the STEM eFolio

My permanent position is Academic Dean (Behavioral & Social Sciences, Science, Communication, Physical Education/Health, Online Learning) at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN.  My other trip in higher education ended in July 2003.  For 3 years I was a Faculty Development Coordinator at the Center for Teaching Learning for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.  My main projects were organizing statewide faculty development events, working with CTL Campus Leaders, especially those in the southern part of the state, administrating the Discipline and Program Workshops, and visiting MnSCU campuses.  That experience has been invaluable in my new position.

My journey started at Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights, MN, where I taught biology for 12 years.  It was a very supportive environment and I learned what it truly meant to be an educator.  I was also the lab manager for the biology department for a couple of years.
